Finally decided on some Ohlins 774s Blackline. Problems from the start. For about 5 months I have tried to contact Ohlins. Covid, whatever. they proclaimed to open again at beginning of July. Its now end of August. I really wanted to buy some shocks, you know, spend a grand on two shocks. I heard they were good, but Ill never know. Pro's for Ohlins are that they are quality units. The build quality is right up there as you'd expect, and they work a treat when they are setup. Downsides are that they require a bit more tooling and knowledge to service, parts are exy, and the knowledge base isn't that huge for the home tuner.

IIRC, the Ohlins is a standard body and the spring is selected for your weight when you order the shock. Individual shops may elect to adjust the valving on the Ohlins but that is not a factory option. The Wilbers shock is built to order and so the valving can be adjusted during the factory assembly of the shock.

It seems like the cartridge type suspensions (AXEO, Progressive, possibly Ohlins) are all somewhat stiffer than a system that uses the dampener with modified holes and/or emulator (Race Tech, Pro Action, progressive). I've had both Ohlins and Legend (Air) on my prior Street Glides. I bought my Ohlins from Howard (great guy), but was never truly able to "dial them in". My Legend Air Ride totally sucked and returned them 2X. In the end Legend had said that due to my skinny ass (135lbs) I just didn't weigh enough to have them perform adequately.
