They totally change the feel of this gun and turn it into what it Springfield should have done from the factory. I chose to go with the stainless/silver accents which turned out perfect.The problem with that is price, as an older STI 5.0 or a newer Staccato is going to set you back some serious coin — like $3K starting price. This is in large part because Staccato has limited production capabilities and no rush to expand. Enter Springfield Armory and their new (and freaking gorgeous) 1911 Double Stack Prodigy series.Some will also say cost difference justifies better build quality on Staccato, but I personally disagree. Regardless, the most noticeable/used benefit being new to the platform would likely be the Dawson guide rod and you can add that to prodigy for like $60 or so. Staccato P is a really good gun and shoots well, but not worth the CA markup to 4k+. Handled the prodigy and the slide to frame fit and action felt smoother than the P.
