I think the majority of people on this sub aren't much "data hoarders", but rather "data archivists/organizers". Meaning, we don't just download everything, we just like to keep our original data forever (family photos/videos, documents) and download stuff we like and keep it for later rewatch/replay (movies/shows/games). The Folder-Structure is here to organize the files to approach them quickly by clicking-through or to being helpfull in case of simply lurking the folder, when you are not sure, what you want to watch and you only want to have a Overview to take something random or what catches your eye.It makes more sense than BD-Rs or other optical media.
