Honda recommends the valves be checked at 105K. Pushing it to 150K is fine, but they should definitely be checked at 150K. The biggest issue isn't the intake valves that become looser and louder over time, it's the exhaust valves which become tighter and you won't notice or hear them.

I wouldn't call a Pilot with those miles as high mileage.Its rare for 2003-2005 to suffer any valve issues. 06s had some issues I recall possibly VCM related. I would say that due to the passage of miles that this is not related to the timing belt work.
