Will be visiting St. John for the first time and lots of my questions have been answered through this forum. 1. Re: sand fleas. The no-see-ums are usually out at dawn and dusk. When we've had a lot of rain, they can be bad in the daytime as well, but usually in the shade. They aren't really in the sand per se, they fly around.

The things we love about St John-Gallows Point being right on the water with a sunset view and walk to town. National Park and hiking. The Beaches and snorkeling. Mountains and views.
