Newbie here, not familiar with forums at all, but have simple question. I have an SW model 39-2 9mm that I bought new in early 80's. The SN is A 412447. I would like to know the year it was manufactured but couldn't find out anything useful on the S&W home site. Any feedback appreciated.

I assume the hammer and trigger on yours are case-hardened and the ejector is blued. If so, you have a nickel revolver from the factory. There should be a “N” on the cyl. face.
