really ECM output has current sensor. not sure, but may get short circuit fault code. In 24 v trucks it works, not sure about 12v trucks. Ok, before u do it, check wires and solenoids with DVOM. May be electrical parts are ok,and just valve is stuck

The cost would not help neither, the newer diesel use exhaust brake. The only ones I see are on the Detroit, those are the older models DDEC'S and series 60. 06 Cat C15 NXS. Jakes stop working after an hour or so of running. If driver restarts the engine, jakes resume working for another hour or so and the cycle continues. We did get a PID-84 before it started, but the cruise still works with no problems. Answered in 3 hours by:

The power then goes back to the cab switch for the high and low selection, then to the solenoids. That should be clear as mud. Power to the Jake switch can be off a relay that goes bad and a type 2 resets every time the power goes off. You want to test with a volt meter to check for poor connections.
