How to reboot comcast modem.
Comcast has been doing that for a few years now. My gateway reboots about 5am every couple of days. Possible firmware update or dynamic IP renewal. I thought it reboots every day during off peak times. But the answer is yes it is completely normal and is supposed to do that. Mine updates and reboots every morning at 3 am.
