X1 treats all recordings as 'from scratch' and does not transfer the buffer to a recording. If you have a true DVR, it just assigns a new tuner to start the recordings.
That's really disappointing, especially since Xfinity has the capability to extend by 60 or 90 minutes & chooses not to do so. My previous Dish DVR could do it for any program & so can my HTPC.
