Honda odyssey hood latch not working.
Nothing has to be spliced in. Simply reach in at the hood latch and unplug the connector. Then take a very small, thin wire paper clip or something similar like a one inch long wire, and bend it into a u shape and push it in to the unplugged connector. Wrap it with electrical tape and call it done.

Oct 25, 2020 · Back to the hood latch. Not sure of your experience level. All hoods for at least the last 50 years use a double latch. The inside release, and then a safety secondary latch. By design you have to get your hand under the hood (after pulling the inside release) and move the secondary latch to actually raise the hood more than an inch or two. I guess Honda figures most people aren't stupid enough to drive off with the hood open, so the hood isn't represented on the pictogram. I deduced that the "problem" therefore must be the hood latch microswitch. I removed the hood latch (three 10mm bolts) and cleaned the 5 1/2 years of accumulated lithium grease and dirt out of the latch.Fuel door latch not working. ... Or you could try cleaning and lubrications the 4 internal micro switches in the latch. Most people replace the bad latch to fix this issue.
There are 3 different actuator motors under the dash. One for the driver side temperature control, one for the passenger side and one for the floor v/s the upper vents control. The two that usually go bad are the driver's and passenger's side temperature control. IMHO, this looks to be a part of the door and not the actuator.
