Oct 27, 2016 · I have collected all of the stones but the one in the Thalmor Embassy. I was there for the party and completed that quest but didn't grab the stone when I was there. Now when I go back to get the stone the door is locked and needs a key to get in. Thought I was being clever by waiting until later in the game to complete this quest, when I have most of the locations available for fast travel. Saved Thalmor Embassy/reeking cave for last, and lo and behold there is no stone in the bedroom (as it was pre patch) or in the cave.
