The Samsung S95B OLED and the Samsung S90C OLED are almost identical. Indeed, the S90C looks like a repackaged S95B but with official 4k @ 144Hz (120Hz on the 83-inch model) support, the 2023 version of their proprietary Tizen OS, and new 77" and 83" (with a WOLED panel) models alongside the existing 55" and 65" ones. The S90C is also a bit brighter than the S95B, but everything else is identical.
On my 77 S90C correctly set to game mode hdr basic, the PS5 calibration image disappears at 19 clicks, corresponding to brightness between 1500 and 1750 nits. I usually set in game brightness to 1500 (usually the cap) or 1750 (if allowed). I think it’s confusing. Before calibration the S90C had really good color accuracy with very minor inconsistences. White balance, gamma and color temperature were very close to their target values. All colors had values below the DeltaE limit of three with the exception of red. This was slightly elevated but still within the acceptable limits.
