I wouldnt say it's mandatory, but I'm seeing myself build it almost every game. For me the go-to bans as Mordekaiser are usually either Fiora or Jax. Both are effectively your worst hard counters in the game as far as top laners go. Outside of that, Sett, Darius, and Mundo are always useful bans. Sett for his raw statchecking.
