Ideally I'd like a best dps ammo type, and a casual comfy ammo type to use. Spread is generally high DPS just like HBG if you can keep good uptime close to the monster, and you have a bunch of options for LBG (Spread 3 Evade Reload, Spread 3 Slow Reload, Spread 2 Normal Reload with larger clips, comes down to preference)

The aerial switch axe style (ZSD spam) is very viable but still runs rapid morph as you still do the grounded combo when the monster is down. Talking about it quickly, low rank to high rank uses raw attack builds; normal, pierce 1, and pierce 2. For Master rank, you should focus on elemental builds, for my recommendation, I chose Elemental Pierce. It's more ideal for end game content (Anomaly Investigations).

I had luck using nargacuga 3 piece armor and going from the nargacuga lbg to the yan garuga lbg, then used that to get the safi lbg. Armor you have a couple options 3 piece nagra for true spare shot makes ammo last longer, or zorah for artillery secret and more damage.
