Not only has the P225 A1 been deleted but the M-11 (formerly the P228) is also on the way out. You can find it on a search in the search box, but otherwise it is on its way out. The M17/M-18 has replaced it. But as neither the P320, or the M-17/M-18 not being allowed in the Republic of CA yet anyone in CA is SOL.
I have a SP2022, read and post in a lot of SP2022 threads, and have never heard of such. Most seem happy with either the small or medium SP2022 grip though more than a few are looking for the discontinued large grip which is very hard to find though on occasion you see it for sale in a forum classified for sale or Ebay.Width – 1.4 inches. My guess is that Sig would have discontinued the model entirely had it not been for the French Government contract.
They discontinued it a few years back which dropped the price. Then, ironically enough, it gained enough popularity on its way out to make the demand grow to the point that SIG brought it back and increased the price again. It's a good gun. SP2022, conversion .40cal to 9mm. I am about to drop the hammer on a full size S&W M&P40 but I like the fact that the SP2022 is also capable of single action fire which initially put it at the top of my list. However, one very attractive feature of the M&P is it's ability to be switched between .40cal and 9mm (also .357 sig) very cheaply.
