One possibility - the mounting brackets for those two sensors are damaged and can't hold the sensor in place and they come unclipped. The mounting tabs are held on to the inside by adhesive. End result, the sensors in the back needed to be replaced. It hasn't happened since. 2016 Outback 3.6R + Eyesight + Nav + Moon Roof.
