It's got a chimera intake, kitaco clutch cover, and takagawa oil pump. Had all that since 500miles. Still pulls me to 60-65mph and gets 100mpg. Lots of metal ends up in your engine during break in, especially if you are hard on it. I ignore break in, I do let off the throttle often, don't let the motor get over hot, but run it hard from the first mile. I always get great ring seal and no oil use. I change the oil early and often till I get a few thousand miles on a bike.I've got the same problem, started at around 1500 miles, split second break up when accelerating in second gear after a turn at around 4500-5000rpm. I think the idea during break-in is to avoid hard braking. You also want to avoid hard acceleration. Just drive it like you normally would but vary the rpms.
