I understand it gets 49 city and 61 highway but I seem do be doing less. I don't usually go by "mpg", but by the tankful, and I can average between 100-150 miles on a tank, so with a 3.3 gallon tank, that comes out to 35-50 mpg, roughly. Now, I do have Cobra pipes and a K&N type spike air cleaner, with jets in the carbs, so that could have something to do with it.My '96 1100 ACE gives what I consider pretty poor fuel economy, but my riding is mainly urban, with about 1/2 my riding time spent sitting at traffic control devices.
