The Benelli will fire anything down to 1 oz target loads in the 12 gauge and 7/8 oz in the 20 gauge with absolutely no problems. If that's what you consider "low base", then you have nothing to worry about. Benelli is more "high quality", where the workmanship on the Stoeger is not nearly as good.
