A leveling kit makes sure the truck sits nice and flat from front to back. But it’s more than just a cosmetic upgrade; it also allows you to fit larger tires. The F-150 that Watts uses as an example has a 2.5-inch leveling kit installed up front and is able to run 20-inch wheels and 35-inch tires. A leveling kit has a cost advantage, too.

Apr 20, 2024 · 35s with a 2.5" level kit. Hello, I am getting ready to install a 2.5" leveling kit on my 2023 XLT 4x4 Supercrew with the factory 20" rims. I am wondering if anyone has experience with throwing 35s on the factory rims and whether significant trimming would be required. I am also considering just getting 17" Methods and some 35s as well. Most likely you will still have rubbing on stock rims with 35's. you may have to cut the crash bars if you have them. There should be some threads that can give you more information. Best of luck. not necessarily. I have an 06 4x4 with the 3" kit and 35s, and they rub on the upper control arms when turned fully. It depends where your tires are rubbing on your truck. Who's running a 3" leveling kit with 35s. I am running 35's with a 3 inch body lift, had to trim a little bit though. Im running 295/60/20 which is a 35, had slight rubbing in the back of the wheel well, unbolted and pulled the innerliner away, used a mallot to pop it back alil, bolted innerliner back and never rubs now, and looks factory still.Just had 35x12.5/20 Toyo AT3’s and a leveling kit installed. Zero rub at full lock. Previously had the same size tire on a 2019 with 2.5” leveling kit and had a little rub at full turn.
