Mar 6, 2022 · Whenever i have sold ALL my shares at Fidelity, they initially sell all whole shares, then a day or two later the fractional share is also automatically liquidated. It is all done before the settlement date of the original order. Perhaps, a company that has figured out how to handle fractional shares does this better than a company that has not.
