Without being able to port forward you might have a problem playing Multiplayer in the first place though, I'm not sure if there's any mod that makes port forwarding unnecessary. I don't know why this does it, but it fixes it. Prob a conflict between vanilla and modded terraria in the settings and deleting the file removes it. Deleting the config, in game, in the menu, before the selection for langauge, it always came back and the lag got worse, affecting my single player game.
