I’ve had my 19 Touring for 1 1/2 years now, and driven in rain many, many times. I’ve only experienced Eyesight auto-disable due to excessive rainfall/poor visibility 3 or 4 times, at most. I‘m curious as to whether the weather wasn’t quite as described, or if there was a possible defective Eyesight component in the case of this accident.

There are times I just want to set the speed and don't need any help or interference from EyeSight. A fellow subaru owner said he could turn his on "manually" by holding down the cruise control button for 5 seconds. That did not seem to work for me.
