After a no start condition with no fuel getting to the carburetor, I started looking at old forum questions. Kohler mechanical pumps were pricey and aftermarket parts are iffy. Digger posted a fuel pump from Amazon that he had used. I looked at it and it was $100.These pumps, by the manual anyway, are not designed to run more than 600 psi. With no load, the hydraulic pressure is between 200 and 250. Only when resistance is met, does the pressure climb to the 550-600 psi range where the relief valve then opens bypassing the higher pressure. This is mainly to protect the pump. N.
