You can create a 4-screen, 4-tiles deep bridge with tainted blocks which will allow you to farm for ichor, souls of night and crimson mimics. Of course, a water candle helps a lot.

Get 15 souls of light and then make a Key Of Light at a workbench. Make sure the chest you are going to summon a hallowed mimic from is empty. After you made sure it's empty, place the key of light into the chest and once you close it, the hallowed mimic will spawn. From what I know, I know it works on golden and wooden chests.
