The technician said everything looked great and that this was a normal find for 6 weeks. Mar 13, 2023 at 6:00 PM. I had my ultrasound Friday at 5+5 and there was a sac with apple seed sized baby and a heart rate of 133. Could see the heart fluttering. But it's not super common to detect the heart rate in the US that early. Many may not detect till 8 weeks or so.

The point of the ultrasound is for dating the pregnancy. Going off LMP is an estimate until you have your dating ultrasound. At 5+2 it would be unlikely that you’d see a heartbeat. In 2 weeks you should be able to see the flicker, keep in mind it might still be too early to HEAR the heartbeat. This is also normal.
